Dress Shirts
The term Dress Shirt is strictly used for a particular type of formal shirting which is typically divided between formal day shirts and white dress shirts for eveningwear. A day dress shirt bears a resemblance of a regular formal shirt, enhanced with a stiff collar (either detachable or not) and with an option of double cuffs. Other designs in blue with pin-stripes or a light grey with vertical lines are also categorized as a formal day shirt. An evening shirt, for instance for a ‘Black Tie’ function, has some specific and unique features of its own and is often termed as a tuxedo shirt, and is predominantly white.
